Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Prices, timings, routes, food, children and the practical details of chartering a yacht in Phuket.

Booking
How much does a private catamaran charter in Phuket cost?

Day and half-day private charters start from ฿19,000 and run up to about ฿36,000 for the whole boat, depending on the yacht, the date and the size of your group. Overnight charters start from ฿135,000 for three days. The price is for the boat, not per person.

Where do the charters depart from?

All of our yachts are based at Ao Chalong Marina in Chalong Bay, on the southern end of Phuket island. It is the best departure point for sailing to Coral Island, Racha Yai and Promthep Cape.

How many people can join a charter?

We recommend a group of fewer than 15 passengers for the full luxury experience on a sailing catamaran. Larger groups can be accommodated on the bigger yachts — the Lagoon 440 is certified for up to 30 guests on a day charter. For overnight trips the yacht sleeps 8 across four en-suite cabins.

How do I book, and what deposit is required?

Message us on WhatsApp with your dates, group size and the trip you have in mind, and we will confirm availability and price. Booking a private charter normally requires a 50% deposit to secure your preferred date.

Can I book now and choose my sailing date later?

Yes. Buy an E-Voucher and you secure credit in advance without paying the full 50% deposit. When you are ready, the voucher is used as your deposit. E-Vouchers must be redeemed within one year of the payment date, after which they expire and cannot be refunded.

Trips
What time do the charters start and finish?

Full day: 10:00 to 18:30 (8 hours). Morning: 08:00 to 12:00 (4 hours). Afternoon: 14:00 to 18:30 (4 hours). Sunset: 16:00 to 19:00 (3 hours). Overnight charters start at 10:00 on day one and finish at 10:00 on day three.

Which islands can we reach in a day?

On an 8-hour charter: Racha Yai and Coral Island, or Maiton and Coral Island. On a 4-hour charter: Coral Island, Koh Lon and Promthep Cape. On a 3-hour sunset trip: Promthep Cape, Yanui and Nai Harn Bay. Distances from Chalong Marina are 4 NM to Coral Island, 9 NM to Maiton, 11 NM to Khai Nok, 13 NM to Racha Yai, 21 NM to Racha Noi and 27 NM to Phi Phi.

Can we choose our own route?

Yes — it is a private charter, so the day is yours within the timeframe, the weather and the tides. How long you spend at each stop is up to you, and the captain will adjust the plan on the day to give you the best conditions.

Can we visit Phi Phi, Maya Bay and Phang Nga Bay?

Yes, on an overnight charter of three days or more. Phi Phi Leh, Phi Phi Don, Maya Bay, Railay and James Bond Island are all within range. For a full visit to Phang Nga Bay rather than a shortcut, we recommend five days or more.

On board
Is food included?

Yes. Meals are cooked fresh on board — Thai cooking is what our guests write about most in their reviews. Soft drinks, water, ice and fresh fruit are included. Alcohol is not included, but you are welcome to bring your own and we provide the ice and glassware.

Is the yacht air-conditioned?

Our flagship, the Lagoon 500 Lady Mia, has air-conditioning throughout with a generator option, plus a watermaker so you have fresh showers for the whole trip. The Lagoon 440 also has four air-conditioned en-suite cabins.

Are captain and crew included?

Always. Every price includes the captain and crew, and a chef on board for longer trips. You never need a licence or any sailing experience.

What water toys and equipment are on board?

Snorkelling equipment, stand-up paddleboards, kayaks, a floating mat, fishing gear and a tender for beach landings. The flagship is also equipped for scuba diving, which can be arranged in advance.

Is it suitable for children?

Yes. Catamarans are stable and there is a lot of deck space, so families sail with us often. Our reviews regularly mention how the crew look after children. Life jackets in children’s sizes are on board.

Practical
What if the weather is bad?

Safety comes first. If conditions make the planned route unsafe, the captain will change it to sheltered water, or we will reschedule your charter. Talk to us on WhatsApp about your dates and we will tell you honestly what to expect at that time of year.

Do you provide hotel transfers?

Transfers can be arranged on request — please ask when you book. The meeting point is Chalong Pier, where a pink shuttle bus runs to the marina.

How can I pay, and can I get a VAT receipt?

We accept Thai bank transfer and Wise. Credit card payment is coming soon. A VAT receipt is available — please request it on WhatsApp. We operate as Yachts Enterprise Co., Ltd., licensed by the Tourism Authority of Thailand.

Are you a licensed operator?

Yes. We are licensed by the Tourism Authority of Thailand and operate as Yachts Enterprise Co., Ltd. All charters include insurance. Our licence number is available on request.
